"THE MANATEE MAN" SONG CONTEST

To enhance awareness of the endangered manatee, The Manatee Man (A.K.A. singer/songwriter Gary Pane) is sponsoring the 1^st annual “The Manatee Man Song Contest”.

Write a song (any genre) about the endangered animal and send it in on a CD with a lyrics sheet to;

The song should not exceed 4 minutes in length and home recordings are OK. Extra consideration will be

given to multi-track, mastered songs; but, song content is most important.

PRIZES

1^st Place - $150 cash

2nd Place - Rogue Acoustic guitar ($100 value)

3^rd Place - $50 cash

4th Place - Pro Tambourine ($30 value),

5th Place - L Lee Oscar Pro Harp ($25 value)

6th Place The Manatee Man CD Collection

(Manatee Island, Concrete Beaches, and It’s a Kid’s World $20 value),

7th to 10^th Place - Manatee Man T-Shirts ($15 value)

11^th to 15^th Place - Manatee Man Hats ($12 value).

Promotions for this contest are made available through Gary’s CD sales; digital download sales through

Wal-Mart, Target, and CDBaby, and through the Manatee Man performances at many of the

Nature Coast’s elementary schools from Citrus to Manatee County.

Gary has donated more than $1000 to The Save the Manatee Club.

Once you are an official “Manatee Man” fan club member you are eligible for monthly drawings for prizes, including CD’s, T-shirts or other prizes. The contests will include;

Questions and Answers

When needed, a panel of professionals will determine the winner and when possible the winner will be posted on the website.
